Can not enter recovery mode BOXER8221-AI-B3-1111

Hi,

I'm using BOXER8221-AI-B3-1111, and I couldn't enter the "Recovery mode".

I read the manual and it says following. I tried many times of this but I can not enter the mode at all.

I have got the OS image from a distoributor and ectract it on the host PC. Then I connect USB cable the PC to BOXER flush usb port.

Case A: the same as the manual

BOXSER Power plug is off. Then connect the power plug, PWR LED on, then push the recovery button 2 second.

Hi 石井 孝佳 san,

Due to the 8221 is AT mode, so it will be power on immediately when the power input.

Therefore, to enter recovery mode, you must press and hold the Recovery button (Red Circle) for 5~10 seconds before the power is turned on and then release it.

ree

After that, you can use "lsusb" to check if there is NVIDIA in the HOST PC, if there is, it means it has entered the Recovery mode.

Note, to enter Recovery mode, you must use Mirco USB cable to connect "OS FLASH" (Yellow) to HOST PC.

BOXER-8658AI Image, BSP, and flasher

The 8658AI I have came pre-installed with Jetpack 6 (L4T 36.3.0) and includes the AAEON BOXER BSP.

The manual mentions an image I can flash, as well as flashing software (flashbox).

I would like to flash my unit with Jetpack 5.1, including the BSP. Is this possible?

I also created a support ticket for this yesterday.

Thanks!

Hi Caleb,

Yes, you can downgrade the Jetpack version, but according to NVIDIA, if you downgrade to Jetpack 5.1.x, the L4T version won't be able to retain 36.3.0 because the L4T version is bound to the Jetpack version!

Additionally, if you want to get the images of Jetpack 5.1.x, please contact your salesperson and I will provide the download link to you via the E-Mail.
